Last the heat gun again warmed Kydex on each side of the belt loops and bent just a little to more match the human form and some sand paper to smooth out the edges and today I have a drop leg QD quiver mount that can go from my crossbow to my leg in seconds and back again. Now I took the QD quiver mount off my crossbow to use as a template with my grease pencil traced the slip lock mechanism check the direction before drilling holes proceed to drilling and I took a Dremel tool to cut twist lock at this point I felt it was pretty solid but made one last piece a backup lock to ensure it can't get knocked free a simple slip lock for the back side with two key holes in it. Next I use a heat gun some foam and a block of wood and an old belt, slipping the belt through the belt holes and heat the kydex just where I want the belt loop to shape lay foam down then wood block and clamp or use weight. Now to cut out the shape you can use utility knife, Dremel tool or a jig saw a few scribes with a knife and then bend to break. Next I took my gridded template and taped it to a Kydex sheet using a grease pencil traced my template (Kydex is a thermaform plastic). Using the gridded paper I drew out a suitable design to my liking then using the cardboard made a mock template to make sure all things fit well and was where I wanted it. What I went about doing was taking a piece of gridded paper and some cardboard. I liked how their quivers seemed to stay out of the way but always ready when they needed a new arrow, but I also liked the quick detach feature of the Barnett quiver that came with my crossbow. This is about a project I started after I watched some video on archery shooters using drop leg quivers.
